We met for the first time in 2010, despite having previously attended the same college for a few years and having a lot of friends in common. Our paths crossed and we became fast friends.
In 2011, we started dating and the adventure of our lives together began.
We dated for a few years, and in April 2013, Lance whisked me away to an unforgettable romantic trip to Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park. While hiking in Bryce Canyon, we came to a beautiful overlook that had an amazing view of a white cliff face. I was busy taking photo after photo of the breathtaking landscape, when suddenly Lance said "Sarah, I found a rock you can take home with you". I turned around to find Lance with a jewelry box. He got on one knee and asked for my hand in marriage. I said "YES!" and even stole a picture of Lance with the ring before he slipped it on to my finger. I wept a lot of happy tears.
After a lot of discussion, we decided to elope and put the money we would have spent on a wedding towards our future home. On November 3rd, 2013, we got married at the St. Charles Conservatory and had a small dinner at Prasino.
We traveled to Hawaii for our honeymoon!
We announced our marriage and let everyone know that when we found our home, we'd be throwing a party to celebrate. On February 28th, 2014, we bought the Fisher Farmstead!
After a few months of settling in, we knew we were ready to celebrate our marriage and the establishment of our new home and farm with all of our family and friends!
